REVelation II combustion analysis package

Hi-Techniques announces new REVelation II combustion analysis software for its Synergy line of data acquisition systems. By measuring in-cylinder combustion pressure REVelation provides real-time per-cylinder measurements of peak pressures, peak CA, Mean Effective Pressures, Knock and other parameters. Live results are displayed on screen along with P-V curves, and any measurements can be logged over time with direct output to stripchart traces, Microsoft Excel®, LabView® or other Windows programs. Analog and digital outputs also allow easy interface to any existing dyno or control system.

 

Building on Hi-Techniques 20+ years in engine analysis, REVelation II now allows any dyno or test cell to easily add full combustion analysis, with even higher performance and lower cost than our industry-standard Win600 system.

Hi-Techniques’ Synergy provides the ideal hardware platform for engine work, providing signal conditioning, high-speed 16-bit data acquisition to over 30,000 RPM at 3600 ppr, encoder interface, encoder clock multiplication to 0.01 degree resolution, four-stroke gating, tachometer input, powerful mathematics and internal programming for your own algorithms.

Synergy High Voltage Input Module

Hi-Techniques, Inc. is pleased to introduce the new High Voltage (HV) Input Module for the Synergy family of Data Acquisition Systems.  The HV Module further extends Synergy performance offering up to +/- 1000 V input range via 4 mm safety-shrouded banana inputs enabling direct connection to 480V industrial power inputs.  Combine with the Synergy’s Power Analyzer software to provide realtime power measurements.

 

Key specifications include:

 

  • Four individually isolated channels
  • 1 MS/s, 16-bit independent digitizers
  • +/- 50 mV to +/- 1000V inputs in 1-2-5 sequence
  • 1000 V pk channel to ground, 2000V pk channel to channel

Hi-Techniques announces Extended Memory support for Synergy

Hi-Techniques is pleased to announce a new optional Extended Memory capability for all Synergy input modules. The new option effectively doubles the available High Speed Transient Memory from 64 MS per input module to 128 MS per module. Memory can be divided among the available channels on a per module basis or stacked together for ultra-long, transient capture. Transient capture is available at sample rates to 2MS/s per channel. Transient capture capability is complemented by Direct to Disk recording at sample rates to 200 kS/s per channel on all Synergy systems.

Hi-Techniques extends Synergy Performance

Hi-Techniques announces new Synergy platform

Hi-Techniques Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance dynamic instrumentation and data acquisition systems, announces its new Synergy Data Acquisition System. The Synergy combines the capabilities of a high performance Data Acquisition System, high resolution DSO / transient recorder, full-featured FFT Analyzer and universal signal conditioning in a single, integrated solution.

A wide 1 MHz bandwidth, large transient memories and continuous storage to disk support a wide variety of time domain scope applications. Comprehensive anti-alias filtering and multiple 3200-MIPS DSPs deliver powerful real-time frequency domain analysis including narrowband, waterfall and octave analysis.

Universal signal conditioning available on all channels supports virtually all types of DC bridge, constant-current, thermocouple and voltage/current sensors without any reconfiguration or purchase of additional modules. Dual Gigabit Ethernet switched ports provides real-time display, control, analysis and storage to any networked PC without burdening the network backbone. New Release of REVelation Engine Analysis Software

Hi-Techniques has released an upgraded version of its REVelation internal combustion analysis software. Compatible with Win600, Win600e and meDAQ acquisition systems, REVelation 3.21 adds a number of enhancements suggested by customers. Additional statistical information is made available in ASCII form and live displays of PV, Knock and Statistics feature improved scaling for better readability. Hi-Techniques Acquired

Hi-Techniques, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance pre-configured data acquisition products and systems since 1984, is pleased to announce that it has been acquired by an investment group headed by former Nicolet Technologies President, Jon Milbrandt.

Mr. Milbrandt will assume day to day control of all operations effective immediately. "We're pleased to have someone of Jon's caliber and direct industry experience to carry on the proud tradition of customer focused, product innovation", stated Garry Williams, founder and former President of Hi-Techniques. "We are committed to continued growth of our data acquisition business through product enhancement, diversification and market globalization. All Madison, WI operations will remain intact and plans are underway for expanded facilities", stated Jon Milbrandt.

The new ownership structure will allow Garry and Amelia Williams, who have managed the company to date, to plan their retirement after long and successful careers in data acquisition.

INTRODUCING THE meDAQ
Portable Networked Data Acquisition

Published: January 2004 (Madison, WI)

The new meDAQ portable data acquisition system from Hi-Techniques combines high performance 16-bit digitizers with signal conditioning, filtering and deep buffer memories for streaming to disk and transient capture. Configure up to 16 high performance channels per compact mainframe, with up to 500 distributed channels hardware-synchronized and controlled from one computer via Ethernet or wireless connection. Simultaneous sampling on all channels is available at speeds up to 50 MSps. Up to 128 MS memories are available to capture even the most elusive event. Continuous streaming to internal disk or flash drives is available at 100 kSps on all channels.
